Installation & setup

Before you begin

  1. Use a matching Paper server: Java 17 for 1.19/1.20, Java 21 for 1.20.6/1.21, or Java 25 for 26.1.2/26.2.
  2. Download the plugin. For the optional wizard, also download Setup BAT and Setup JAR into the same folder. The wizard needs Java 25 regardless of server target.
  3. Choose a reachable resource-pack origin. Public players need an address they can access, not your server’s localhost.
  4. Configure your own domain/proxy and firewall if needed. The wizard prepares files but does not change DNS or your network.
  5. Install, restart, join, accept the resource pack and open /enohud. Grant only the permissions your players need.

Frequently asked questions

Do players need a client mod?

No. Players use Minecraft Java and accept the generated resource pack. The matching Enorials HUD plugin runs on the Paper server. Bedrock and Folia are not covered by these releases.

Is BetonQuest required?

No. The core HUD, minimap and party tools work without it. Quest logs, quest markers and conversation panels use the optional BetonQuest integration. The release records cover BetonQuest 3.2.0, not 2.x. Read integration details.

Can I use my own resource pack?

Yes, supported pack content can be merged. Place your pack in plugins/EnorialsHUD/server-resource-packs/ and rebuild after configuring hosting. Shader conflicts need testing; not every combination is compatible. Read the pack and avatar guide.

Free to use. Help it grow.
